Volunteer Information:
Volunteers come from all walks of life. They are homemakers, teenagers, career professionals, retirees, and employees. They share a common purpose to help others by giving of themselves. Both adult and teen volunteers provide a valuable service to hospitals and the community by bringing a smile to a patient, by offering a helping hand and by sharing hope with anxious families. Columbus Regional Health offers numerous volunteer opportunities, including in the Emergency and Trauma Center at Midtown Medical Center, the Children’s Hospital at Midtown Medical Center, the John B. Amos Cancer Center and Northside Hospital. For 6 weeks during the summer, youths from ages 14-18 may participate in the Columbus Regional Auxiliary Youth Volunteer program. Because their duties require the same dedication and commitment as adult volunteers, these youth volunteers are carefully selected. Applications are available online and in the Auxiliary office from January to April 1. April 1 is the deadline for applications. The program, which runs from June to August, is designed for responsible, mature teens who want to help others or explore a health career.
