Volunteer Information:
Arkansas Surgical Hospital, a physician-owned hospital specializing in spine and joint replacement surgery and pain management procedures, is seeking volunteers to staff the Surgery Waiting Lounge 7:30am-4pm. These opportunities are long-term, and our preference is for retirees who are looking to volunteer. The number of openings is limited, since many of our volunteers stay with us year after year. The available days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Responsibilities include: Placing family members in consultation rooms; Keeping track of the family members who need to leave the surgery waiting area of the hospital; this will be done with a sign-out sheet; Keeping a general eye on the surgery waiting area, make coffee, answer questions. Volunteers should be willing to accept our standards of behavior, to be able to do quite a bit of walking, and be people-oriented. Dependability is a must! We will provide a breakfast or lunch for you on the days that you volunteer. You will be given an ID badge, a volunteer vest. Please wear comfortable shoes!
