Volunteer Information: The Volunteer Services Department of Terrebonne General Medical Center has been established to develop and maintain an efficient and humanistic volunteer staff, which offers an extra dimension of care and service to patients, empathy for families and visitors, and supportive service for the facility’s staff. The Volunteers create a special partnership with staff and play an important role in our commitment to deliver quality patient care. A volunteer’s willingness to give of their time and talents helps to enrich the healthcare experience of our patients. Application Process: 1. A background check will be arranged upon submission of consideration application. 3. The following will be scheduled for an approved candidate: Health screening provided by TGMC nurse; Attendance to Orientation Day from 8:00 a.m.-3:45 p.m.; I.D. Badge from Human Resource. 4. Active volunteers will be provided: An official volunteer smock/shirt; Lunch, if working a 4 hour shift; A small PJ’s Coffee.
