Volunteer Information: Volunteering at T.J. Samson Community Hospital is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Our volunteers have a major role in the T.J. Samson community; their knowledge, cheerful attitude, and “can-do” dedication to patients and staff keep our hospital moving forward. Each volunteer determines how they want to help and how much time they are willing to give. Volunteer Programs: Auxiliary; Operational Development Volunteers
Volunteer Placements/Services: Escorting visitors; Delivering patient mail; Providing and distributing magazines and newspapers; Presiding over information desks to help visitors with hospital information; Working with a licensed stylist to arrange patient hair cuts, perms, or wash and sets; Managing the gift shop; Working at community blood drives via the sign-in desk, canteen, and greeting/escorting donors; Deliver complimentary coffee and teas; Help with filing, organizing, photocopying, etc.; Assist staff on nursing units
