Volunteer Information: Ascension depends on volunteers to provide assistance for the patient, their families and hospital staff. Assisting staff, patients, their families and visitors, is the primary purpose and goal of our volunteer program. Responsibilities and duties may vary depending on the program you select and types of services you wish to provide. The time you spend in volunteer activities can vary widely from a few hours a week to several hours a day. Application Process: First, you will need to schedule an interview, complete a two-hour volunteer orientation, attend a attend an additional training arranged on the job. Your orientation and interview will be at our Warren Campus; Be willing to provide medical history information and take a test for tuberculosis. We also require and provide annual flu immunization; Be willing to provide references, a copy of your ID and undergo a state and national background check requiring your social security number.
