Volunteer Information: Seaside Providence volunteers serve in a variety different areas throughout the hospital and Providence clinics. Some of the departments supported are Environmental Services, Extended Care Unit, Dietary, Human Resources, Foundation, Medical/Surgical Unit, Materials Management and the Gift Shop to name just a few. Volunteers perform a variety of tasks such as delivering flowers, escorting families to a patient's room, offering free magazines from the activity cart, holding the hand of a frightened patient, delivering meal trays to patients, making packets, wheeling discharged patients to the front of the hospital, clerical services and much, much more..
