Volunteer Information: Do you want to make an incredible difference in the patient experience, or do you know of anyone who might be interested? Do you or someone you know have a desire to give back to your community by sharing time, skills and talents with those who need guidance, comfort, care and compassion? Then consider volunteering at Piedmont! We are looking for people who have a passion for making a difference in people's lives through donating their time, gifts and talents to assist our patients, staff and visitors. To best meet the needs of our patients and hospital, our volunteer process is very thorough. As Piedmont upholds standards mandated by law, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and DNV GL Healthcare (Accreditation for Hospitals), all volunteer applicants undergo a rigorous interview process, background check and drug screen prior to Orientation. Because patient, visitor and staff safety is of great concern in hospitals, all volunteers will receive a TB test and flu shot annually, which is administered by the hospital at no cost. Additionally, volunteers attend the same orientation and safety training that employees do, with annual training thereafter..
