Volunteer Information: Established in 1932, Halifax Health - Auxiliary provides members of our local community with volunteer and community service opportunities in an effort to support the organization's dedication to quality healthcare. Halifax Health - Auxiliary members are tasked with supporting the hospital and its patients; relaying organizational accomplishments and goals to the public, and fundraising for charitable giving programs. It is through the dedication and compassion of each volunteer that Halifax Health is able to carry out a seamless execution of daily medical operations. Halifax Health - Auxiliary members take care of patients from the time they walk in the door by greeting them with a smile to the time they leave by safely escorting them to their vehicle. In addition to their work assisting patients, our volunteers are also responsible for managing the Gift Shop located inside the Fountain Building at Halifax Health - Medical Center. The Gift Shop benefits hospital visitors and employees by selling a wide variety of gifts including, flowers, snacks, jewelry, balloons and a large selection of presents.
