Application Process: Prospective volunteers are required to complete an application, participate in an interview, attend a scheduled orientation, comply with Tuberculosis screening by having a PPD skin test (which is free of charge), pass a security/background screening and commit to one four hour shift per week. New volunteers starting after November 1st must submit proof of having a flu shot. Flu shots are required November 1st through March 31st. Orientations are scheduled once a month. Upon review of your Volunteer Application, you will be called for an interview and an orientation date and time. Orientation is an opportunity for new volunteers to meet fellow volunteers, learn about the hospital and specific hospital and Volunteer Department policies and procedures.
