Volunteer Information: Advocate Condell Medical Center volunteers come from all walks of life - retired bankers to teenagers. All have one goal: helping others and their community. By doing so, they discover their personal quality of life is enhanced by the contributions they make. We welcome all volunteers 16 or older and invite you to explore the variety of volunteer opportunities available throughout Condell. Our team of dedicated volunteers provide assistance to patients, to the professional and medical staff and to members of the community. Volunteer Placements/Services: Bingo; Women's Center; Cancer Institute; Cardio-Diagnostics; Central Supply; Coffee Shop; Gift Shop; Guest Services; Intergenerational Day Center (Adults); Intergenerational Day Center (Child); New Life; Radiology; Rehab (Libertyville, Grayslake and Gurnee); Surgical Lounge; Surgical Services; Transport
Application Process: 1. Fill out the online application below (applicants age 16 or 17 must have a parent/guardian sign the application) 2. Upon receipt of your application, we will review it based on your interests, availability and our current openings. If we have a matching opportunity, we will contact you. (As much as we would like to accommodate all candidates, we are not able to accept everyone.) 3. As part of acceptance into our volunteer program, you will be asked to complete the following requirements prior to starting: A) Watch an online orientation video and complete the questions B) Complete a free-of-charge medical screening at our Associate Health office that includes: a 2-step TB (tuberculosis) test (free of charge); proof of vaccinations: for those born after 1/31/1957 that includes an MMR or agree to receive those vaccinations at our facility (free of charge); proof of flu vaccine or agree to receive one at our facility (free of charge) during flu season C) Consent to a criminal background check.
