Volunteer Information:
The Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) Auxiliary Volunteers are a special group of men and women who come together for one purpose: to provide support to the hospital staff and raise money to purchase medical equipment and room furnishings. Over the years, our Auxiliary has raised several thousand dollars to help BCMH purchase needed items to provide quality patient care. We are proud of the accomplishments of our Auxiliary, which was awarded “Auxiliary of the Year in 1999″ by the Missouri Hospital Association (MHA) of Hospital Auxiliaries for their exceptional efforts in a small hospital. The Auxiliary was also awarded “Auxiliary of the Year in 2005.” In December 2011, our Auxiliary received the honor of being number one for a hospital Auxiliary under 60 members at the MHA state convention. By becoming a volunteer, you will enjoy planning and organizing fundraising events such as bazaars, pancake breakfasts and jewelry, quilt, book and bake sales. Our volunteers share a few hours a week performing a wide range of duties. They work in the Gift Shop, staff the Information Desk and assist in various hospital departments. By being a volunteer, you will receive recognition for hours of service and free meals while volunteering. Most important, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a contribution to providing quality health care in our community.
