Volunteering is a chance to learn new skills, develop new interests, make new friends and enjoy enriching experiences with a variety of people.Volunteers generously share their time and special talents throughout the medical centers, providing help at the information desks, gift shops, surgical waiting areas, nursing departments, support services departments and pastoral care.

Volunteer Details:

We welcome all individuals 18 years of age and older to apply. Junior Volunteer Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and/or have completed their sophomore year of high school.Assignments range from direct patient involvement to behind-the-scenes work.Adult applicants may apply at anytime during the year. Junior volunteers are only accepted for our Summer Program or as part of their school day during the academic year.

Volunteer Details: At Guthrie, we maintain adult and teenage volunteer services in order to release professional personnel from duties not requiring professional training, and to augment and broaden services to the patient that are not feasible for the staff to provide.There are many opportunities for volunteers who wish to donate a couple hours of their time each week, ranging from clerical tasks to interacting with patients and their families.
