Volunteer Details: Established in 1933, Yale New Haven Hospital has one of the oldest organized hospital volunteer programs in the country. The hospital's 2,400 volunteers contribute more than 200,000 hours of service annually. The Volunteer Services Department needs and welcomes energetic volunteers of all ages and skills on the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses. Volunteers generally give a minimum of four hours a week for at least six months. There are a variety of volunteer roles to fit individual time schedules, abilities and interests. Volunteers may work directly with patients or work behind the scenes.

Volunteer Details: Volunteers are an important part of the "health care team" at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. They provide an extra dimension of care and services to patients, empathy and assistance to families and visitors and support for staff. Each year over 800 volunteers - men, women, high school and college students - share their time and talents and make a difference. Some volunteers work five days a week, most volunteer one or two days a week and some assist at special events or respond to special needs. Volunteer opportunities are available at the Saint Francis Campus, the Mount Sinai Campus Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital and other sites that are part of the Saint Francis system. Volunteers work in many different areas of the Hospital. Every attempt is made to match a volunteer’s interests, skills, and availability with Hospital needs.
